Il primissimo capitolo della serie di Fire Emblem, rilasciato sul Famicom (il NES giapponese) nel 1990, approderà per la prima volta in Occidente il 4 dicembre 2020 sui Nintendo Switch europei.
Così come per Super Mario 35, anche Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light sarà un titolo “a tiratura limitata”, ovvero scaricabile dal Nintendo eShop solamente fino al 31 marzo 2021.
