Sumo Digital ha recentemente rilasciato nuove dichiarazioni in merito alla scelta dei personaggi inclusi all’interno di Team Sonic Racing.
Il design director di Sumo Digital, Derek Littlewood ha infatti rivelato a Gamespot, i motivi dell’esclusione dei personaggi di altre serie di SEGA nel racing game.
Derek Littlewood: La ragione per cui abbiamo abbandonato i personaggi dell’universo SEGA non legati a Sonic, è stato per dare la possibilità di immergerci più approfonditamente nell’universo del riccio blu, raccontando una storia che sia canon, attraverso la Team Adventure Mode. Questo è stato molto importante per noi, ma allo stesso tempo è stata una decisione difficile da prendere. Nonostante ciò riteniamo che sia stata la giusta direzione da seguire, perché ci ha permesso di creare un nuovo tipo di esperienza unica in Team Sonic Racing, che andasse a sorprendere anche chi ha avuto a che fare coi i precedenti capitoli.
Team Sonic Racing è stato pubblicato lo scorso 21 maggio 2019 su tutte le piattaforme, anche su Nintendo Switch in versione retail e digitale sul Nintendo eShop.
Il roster di Team Sonic Racing si è arricchito ultimamente di tre nuovi personaggi, ovvero Blaze the Cat, Silver the Hedgehog e Vector the Crocodile, che formano un nuovo team di piloti, strambo ma compatto.

Today, SEGA revealed another brand-new music track for the upcoming arcade-style racer, Team Sonic Racing. “Wisp Circuit” is an original soundtrack from iconic Sonic Series Sound Director Jun Senoue and the musicians behind the 2016 Sonic Adventure Music Experience. Get ready to zoom across the track to a funky new beat!
