Poche ore fa sono emerse nuove dichiarazioni di Square Enix in merito al ritardo della versione Nintendo Switch di Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age.
Ricordiamo che l”undicesimo capitolo della serie Dragon Quest, è arrivato lo scorso anno sui Nintendo 3DS giapponesi, ma non sarà pubblicato a quanto pare su quelli europei.
Per quanto riguarda la release su Nintendo Switch in Europa e negli USA, Square Enix ha fatto sapere al pubblico che lo sviluppo richiederà un po di tempo in più del previsto, con una release che potrebbe slittare a questo punto al 2019.
Il producer di Square-Enix, Hokuto Okamoto, ha voluto chiarire il ritardo della versione Switch del nuovo capitolo della serie di Dragon Quest, direttamente alle pagine di Gamespot.
“È vero che la versione Nintendo Switch è in fase di sviluppo in questo momento. Entrando nel merito, questo gioco è stato sviluppato su Unreal Engine, ma la versione del motore grafico deve essere aggiornata, suppongo, al fine di essere supportata dalla console. In questo senso, ci si aspetta comunque che lo sviluppo richieda un tempo molto lungo. Il rilascio è ancora molto lontano.
Ovviamente abbiamo pensato di pubblicare la versione PS4 e Switch più o meno nello stesso periodo, anche se alla fine era una possibilità, ma in questo momento le prospettive per la versione Nintendo non sono ancora chiare in questo momento. Il team giapponese voleva rilasciare Dragon Quest XI, portandolo in Occidente il prima possibile per i nostri fan, ed è per questo che è stato deciso di iniizare la pubblicazione con la versione PS4 e PC (STEAM).
